Instructions
Complete the number of forms wanted
Paste in the tab-separated pupil data including header row or upload a completed template
Click the Process button to complete the first draft of the task
The results then show two numbers next to each student in the form x/y which indicates how many close/wider friends that student groups with
Fine tune by left clicking to see related students (green for close, amber for wider, red for must avoid)
Right click two students to swap them over (which will be processed assuming that doesn't create a must-avoid pairing)
Finally the download button at the end will create a CSV file of your finalised groupings
Note: if unhappy you can click Process again to search for a new starting point
Instructions
Enter teacher initials for next year's teacher separated with commas (e.g. MAR,GBB etc)
Paste or upload the tab-separated pupil data using the classes template
Click Process to generate a draft set of classes
Left click a pupil to highlight pupils or teacher they cannot be with (red) or teacher already required (green)
Right click two pupils to attempt a swap — swaps that break rules will be rejected
Use the download button when satisfied to save a CSV of the classes
